September 2014 - J. Mann will be opening for Peter Loveday at La Rouge Raval (Rambla del Raval 10) in Barcelona, Spain on Saturday, October 11th.  It will be J. Mann's first time in more than six years playing in "la Ciutat Comtal".

November 2010 - Two of J. Mann's instrumental tracks - “Juzgar con tino” y “Adelantamiento” - were featured in the Mexican-Spanish documentary, "Voices of Juchitan" ("Voces de Juchitan: Stidxha Guidxi Guie") by director Oscar Senent de Diego.

April 2010 - J. Mann is thrilled to announce that he and Brett Yanchyk will be opening up for Craig Smith (with band) at Mitzi's Sister on Thursday, April 29th at 9pm.

September 2009 - J. Mann will play a show with Brett Yanchyk and Lisa Marie Kruchak at the Free Times CafÚ in Toronto on September 3 at 9pm.


March 2009 - After pent-up demand (expressed through various Excel worksheets), J. Mann will play a show in London, Ontario at The Wave, University Community Centre (UCC), UWO on March 20th. The benefit is for the Step by Step Africa to help fund HIV tests and treatment in Northern Ghana.

February 2009 - After many hours in a northern Danish editing room, Miguel Ortiz has emerged with yet another incredible video for the song, "Yeah, Yah, Ya." Help J. Mann provide strong political discourse to lettuce on the videos page.

June 2008 - J. Mann will present, "How to be an Ambivalent Negotiator," on Friday, June 13th at Big Bang with a full band made up of members of Barcelona's Aeropuerto.

April 2008 - J. Mann has invited his old friend, Mayor McCa (originally from Steel City Hamilton, ON and currently living in London, UK), to perform in Barcelona.

Both will play at HeliogÓbal on Sunday, April 6th, 2008.


March 2008 - J. Mann will open for Los Beef! and La Banda Municipal del Polo Norte at Sala Monasterio on March 28th, 2008.

June 2007 - The third edition of Knock on Wood Nit Ac˙stica will take place at Sala Monasterio on June 20th. The line-up includes: Carlos Cros, El Chico con la Espina en el Costado, Luthea Salom, Paprika Joe, Polandsonora and J. Mann.


March 2007 - J. Mann filmed his latest video for the song, This City is a Movie Set, with Miranda JeliciÚ in the famed neighbourhood called "El Born." Locals say, "roda al mon i torna al born," meaning "go around the world and return to the Born." Check it out on the videos page.



February 2007 - J. Mann will open for New Yorker Luthea Salom on Friday, March 16th at Sala Monasterio, Passeig Isabel II, 4, Barcelona at 22:00.


January 2007 - J. Mann will play at the beloved HeliogÓbal on Sunday, February 11th with opening act, Hans Laguna.

December 2006 - J. Mann will team up with Polandsonora to organize the second Knock on Wood Acoustic night at Sala Castellˇ on Thursday, December 14th at 19:30. In addition to J. Mann and Polandsonora, the line-up will include Borja Du˝ˇ (ex-Tuesday Afternoon), Guillamino, David Brown (Brazzaville) and Steven Munar (ex-Tea Servants).

January 2005 - The NXNE (North by North East) music festival accepted J. Mann for a performance during the weekend of June 9th to June 11th in Toronto, Canada.

January 2005 - J. Mann has started recording a yet-to-be-named sixth album in a small Barcelona studio. He's asked his former bandmates from The Customers to lend a helping hand with some of the instruments - some onlookers feel the process of recording could be upwards to sixth months. "Strummer" which appeared as an acoustic song on the Zunior Holiday album will appear in more of a band form. Look out for the uncharacteristic song, "Wellington works on mathematical calculations."


December 2004 - J. Mann appears on a special holiday Zunior release containing 14 chestnuts roasting on an MP3 fire! Besides J. Mann's morbid Christmas tribute called, "Strummer," where he sings, "I don't know if I have what it takes, to get through this holiday break," other songs include contributions by Mike O'Neill, Nick Zubeck, Dave Clark, The Kelele Brothers, The Feminists, The Inbreds and others. November 2004 - After two years of rocking the Barcelona music scene, The Customers (the band that J. Mann sang in) have closed down shop. They will all continue to make music in one form or another.


October 2004 - J. Mann's 2002 release "Walk Left, Stand Right" (with cover art) can be had now through Canada's first pay-for-download indie cooperative Zunior ( Zunior began in October of 2004 and is the brainchild of Dave Ullrich - one-half of Canada's best duo of all-time, The Inbreds. Fittingly, the other half, Mike O'Neill put out a Zunior-only release full-length album entitled, The Owl, which is a must-have masterpiece!


May 2004 - J. Mann will be heading back to Canada for the month of May. With some shows still to be confirmed, here is what is currently on offer:
